Great framed canvas at a great price. They were packed well for shipping. All my frames were received in great shape.
I’ve painted on two canvasses to date and ordered two more. My painting methods suit these tight surfaces but a colleague in the studios has commented that the canvasses look fragile (translucent) and could be easily damaged in gallery storage. I’m not sure what she means by this but it makes one think. The only doubt that I have is that the matching frames are possibly not to gallery standard as they’re not solid wood but I think they’ll look fine in the end if I wax them. Overall I’m hopeful that these canvas and frame sets will prove themselves to be excellent value. They’re certainly a whole lot of fun to paint on.
Hi Imogen. Please do get your colleague to send me a video - let them take their finger and poke a hole in my canvas. I'll gladly send you a full set as a replacement if they get it right. (PS: I'm not going to pay for their medical treatment for a broken finger) Good luck. PS: When they fail, can I get the other star?

I just started using one of these canvases and have to say I’m impressed. It’s different, but in a good way. I paint with lots and lots of layers of mixed media, and so far it’s handling things just fine. I love that when I’m done I have a frame that is ready and will fit square.

Not suitable for charcoal drawing which is why I bought four of them, so I’m very disappointed. The workmanship is very good though

Heavy texture Venetian plaster, no warp! That says it all really if you are looking for something that will handle lots of moisture and weighty paste, then these are the ones to go for, all they need is a good primer and away you go!

So, I’ve been using ACF canvases for several years now, their canvases are sensational! For fine details, and a taught surface, you cannot get better! We tried the round canvas for the first time, and WOW! Unbelievable!!!

I have never used a.canvas so smooth before. I throw everything at my canvases because I am.a mixed media artist. I use a lot of collage and the canvas took it well and I was able to smooth it down perfectly on the surface. I used multiple layers of texture paste and paint. No problem for the canvas. I did find the surface was quite absorbent especially when it came to varnishing.

This is a very nice product, very clean and professional and so very well packaged. I imagine it would survive any kind of shipping situation.!!

I haven’t had the time to paint on my ACF canvass’s yet. But by the way they are packed, I see 100% 💯 class act promise. I wish I had more time (and more space) to paint. I’m finding a love for oil painting I thought would be difficult, but find it a loving and easy medium to work with. Water colors are more difficult, but are soft and revealing.
I’m going to paint with oils on my ACF canvass’s, when I can after my hip replacement in a few days. Old age sux, but you do get wisdom you never had. Bless ACF, I think your whole business is a shining example to a lot of low down rackets. Best wishes!
