When I first started using the PET canvases, I found them quite challenging. I struggled to get the acrylic paint to adhere to the surface in the way I was used to, and getting started felt harder than on traditional canvases.
However, as I spent more time working with them, I realised they really suit a layered approach. Once I began building up the paint in layers, everything started to click into place. The surface allows for beautiful depth, and I found myself loving both the painting process and the finished result.
What I particularly enjoy is the smoothness of the final piece. The colours remain vibrant, and the overall finish feels contemporary and professional. The first canvases I purchased took me a while to warm to, but I later bought some of the oak-framed versions and was genuinely impressed. The quality is excellent, and I think they represent fantastic value for money.
I'm now working on my second batch of the oak-framed PET canvases and fully expect to continue using them in the future. So far, I've only used acrylics and haven't yet experimented with oils, but I'm continually learning and discovering new possibilities with this surface.
Overall, what began as a challenge has become a product I now enjoy using and would happily recommend to artists willing to take a little time to understand how best to work with it.
Beautiful review, Kim — thank you. I always compare the new surface to riding a bicycle. You already know how to ride; you've been on the same one-speed for years. Now you've got a new bike — multi-gear, even an ebike — and although you know how to ride, you need to spend some time with it to really appreciate what it can do. Thanks for sharing — I'm sure it'll resonate with other artists.
I love your canvasses! The surface is versatile and sturdy! I am very OCD, hate a floppy unneat canvas that shows creases and folds like the others. I like the very neat edges of your canvasses! You dont even have to frame your artworks, as they are so well rounded off. Your staff are also the best, they are always willing to help a gal out.
Excellent product. They look great when finished. The surface accepted paint readily and was stiff and great paint on. Very pleasing
I have started painting on my new stretched canvas and completely delighted with the quality. I use textures and moldings in my work. The canvas remained robust all throughout the process. I would love to explore more as I move on painting another larger body of work for a show in London.
Exactly as promised. Lovely frame, robust but sleek. Fantastic surface to paint on. Loving these!!!
Fast delivery and very well packaged. These canvases are perfect! So well made and they look fantastic. I’m very pleased with the six I’ve bought so far and will definitely be buying more.
These are the second lots of frames I've had from Graham and the team and once again I'm NOT disappointed. They are packed securely, they are EXTREMELY good canvas and the frames are perfect.
No hesitation at all in recommending ACF frames. (If I'm anywhere near them I'm going to drop in and 'blag' a coffee too!
Solid, strong, amazing quality. Fast delivery, well packaged. I will definitely be buying these again.
These canvases are such high quality. It brings me so much joy to work on them! The hard box backing allows me to combine acrylic markers with my paint without denting the canvas which brings a whole new dimension to my art. There is also an added bonus that I don’t have to spend thousands on framing afterwards. Just pop the frame back on! I’m totally hooked
I was offered this after my original order wasn’t available. The other half of my order also never arrived so I asked for a refund. After 3 more weeks I’m still waiting for my partial refund. Really disappointed.
Hi Angela, we’re sorry this has been frustrating.

For the remaining smaller item, a store credit was issued on the same day, in line with the communication sent to you by email. The credit does not expire and will appear at checkout on your next order.

These canvases are the best I've ever had! Everything you promised in your advertising is true. I'm very happy and would highly recommend them! I've share my recommendations to our painting group.
I’m so pleased I found these Box board and floating frame canvases. The oak will age naturally and the quality is great. It means the material costs are inherently catered for and the paintings immediately enhanced for sale with framing inclusive which is attractive to both purchasers and galleries.
I think your canvasses are brilliant. I use oil paint on linen canvas so it will take a little time to get used to painting on a new surface. You asked for brutal honesty. Could you try using a different primer. I feel the paint doesn't flow as well as the linen surface I'm used to.
Love the quality of the canvas and the floating frame.
I live in Northern Ireland and appreciated the quick delivery when i find some companies do not want to send here.
ACF canvases are brilliant to work on.
A smooth, taute surface, although I still apply two coats of gesso before I paint in acrylics.
I honestly wouldn't want to paint on any other canvases now !
I am so impressed with the framed canvases, it feels so solid and looks very luxurious.
Excellent quality very smooth surface which is ideal for my painting technique. Very strong and tight canvas
