Was concerned with the fine grain but it was fine. Tight and took the paint well, will but more.
Love the A1 size 20mm edge stretched canvas.
Works well with my Acrylic paint.
I bought the 40 mm A0 stretched canvas.
I enjoyed creating my first big painting.
Sturdy and the quality is great.

I was very impressed with the results working on ACF canvases. I started with an acrylic underpainting depicting the whole composition in variations of purple. Working with a flat brush, I found the watery paint covered well and there was enough 'grip'. The smoothness coupled with slight tooth and tautness of the surface proved ideal. Moving on, I painted the finished work in a couple of sittings using oil pigment sticks. Wow! So, despite the fact that there was no brushwork involved, just 'drawing' and blending with fingers, the canvas performed perfectly. For my style of expressive realism, the firm surface was great. Just enough 'give' to give me good feedback to my fingers without being sloppy. I always paint the round the sides of my canvases, and the sharp corners were excellent too. Finally, I loved that there's no ridge at the edge of the canvas. Pigment can be evenly spread right to the edge. Did I say Wow! I meant it.
I can't praise these enough, absolutely fantastic canvases. Although you may initially think they are on the edpensiv side, when you take into account you get 2 incredible canvases that come with solid wood floating frames, they actually prove to be very cost effective. I simply can't praise these enough, they genuinely change the way in which I enjoy the painting process.
These pre-framed canvases are absolutely superb quality and I will definitely be re-ordering. I was pleasantly surprised by the heavy weight and the taut canvas surface. Excellent product, highly recommended.
The best canvas is one you stop thinking about because it simply lets you paint. For me, that’s exactly what ACF provides.
My paintings develop slowly through layers of glazing, observation, and refinement, so I need a canvas I can trust completely. ACF canvases give me that confidence. Their consistent surface and excellent tension allow me to move effortlessly between delicate reflections, crisp architectural detail, and softer, more atmospheric passages.
I use your canvases in South Africa and am now also using them in my London studio.
I love the fine weave and smooth surface to work on with both paint as well as other media (pencils, charcoal, graphite, pastels etc)
These are incredible quality, the box board means a rigid painting surface which is perfect for my style. Very smooth tooth, enough to grab the paint but smooth enough to allow smooth unbroken lines and detail. Very high quality and for professionals I have no hesitation in recommending them. May be a little pricey for hobbyists but that is reflected in the quality you are getting. These far exceed mainstream suppliers such as Windsor and newton professional series, there is just no comparison. Fantastic communication also
I'm an experienced oil painting artist and found the experience on your canvases disappointing. Perhaps I'm not used to the surface where the paint does not adhere as comfortably as a linen canvas.
Ive spent months doing a project. Finished. Then I received 4 small 15cm square from you. What a pleasure. In a week I had painted all 4. The thin lines went on.The sunset blended. It was a week of great fun. With a great product.
Absolutely incredible I love them. I ordered two of these 40 x 20“ canvases. My next order will be two 40 x 30“ canvases and I’m sure I’ll be ordering many more after that thank you
The canvases are everything that you said wit would be. I love the support in the back of the canvases that most canvases don't have. The stretch is amazing and the smooth feeling is great.
The best canvas ever. I am totally spoiled now and will never paint on any other canvas ever again.
These framed canvases are fantastic!
The canvas itself is smooth and sturdy to paint on. Great for painting detail!
These seem great, but I wasn’t quite prepared for how heavy they would be! I’m not sure how to hang them. There was also a small dent in one frame which may be able to polish out. It couldn’t have happened in transit so must have happened at the factory.
